Open Data Suite is a complete out-of-the-box software solution that makes data accessible – by providing tools to streamline publishing, sharing, finding and using data. Open Data Suite is aimed at data publishers (national and regional governments, companies and organizations) wanting to make their data open and available.

Used to power both official and community data portals, CKAN was developed by the non-profit Open Knowledge Foundation to run the Datahub.io. It now powers more than 40 data hubs around the world, including portals for local, national and international government, such as the UK’s data.gov.uk and the European Union’s publicdata.eu.
Data.Gov.UK
Data.Gov.UK is the UK Government’s official open data portal. The site provides a central “way into the wealth of government data” and aims to make that data “easy to find; easy to license; and easy to re-use.”
PublicData.eu
PublicData.eu is a research prototype of a pan-European data catalogue and federation mechanism, developed as part of the FP7-funded LOD2 project. Based on CKAN, the site is developed as a use case and an early adopter of the LOD2 linked data stack technologies.
IATI Registry
The International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) registry is a central repository for aid spending data published with the IATI standard. Funding organizations can easily publish their activity files – making their data readily discoverable and accessible via the web interface and JSON API.
Greater Manchester Data Portal
DataGM provides a data catalog for Greater Manchester, a metropolitan county made up of 10 metropolitan boroughs. Each borough has its own council. It aims to include all the boroughs under a single umbrella. It also includes Transport for Greater Manchester, the Police and the Fire and Rescue Service.
Helsinki Data Portal
The Helsinki Region Infoshare project aims to make regional information quickly and easily accessible to all. The data may be used by citizens, businesses, universities, academies, research facilities or municipal administration.
