The City of Warsaw Open Data Portal provides a data environment for creating, testing, and developing business, scientific, and social ideas. One of the portal's most significant features is the online publication of fast-changing data, such as the location data of public transport vehicles, parking occupancy, weather, and air quality data. The published data also supports the information processes of the city as a municipal contact centre and smart-city activities. The platform significantly supports the transparency of the city, resulting in higher social involvement of citizens in city life.

    Chief Specialist, Data Management Division, City of Warsaw
    For 15 years he has been dealing with the analysis, design, building and integration of IT systems. He has participated in various roles in dozens of IT projects supporting implementation of processes within the organization. He implements Data Governance processes, standardizes the structures and access methods of processed data. In the area of open data, he maintains and develops the City of Warsaw Open Data Portal (1.5 million requests daily) in particular designs and creates dedicated plugins for performing specific functions such as validation or two-way communication. Co-author of scientific publications in the field of data science based on open data.
