About IDB's Open Data and Digital Transformation
The Inter-American Development Bank's (IDB) open data catalog is centered on the commitment to share high-quality data with the people of Latin America and the Caribbean. The initiative aims to empower researchers, policymakers, students, and development professionals to make informed decisions for progress in the region.
CKAN was the core technology used to launch IDB’s revamped Open Data Catalog, which provides public access to key datasets, linked knowledge products, and enhanced APIs. The core aims are to ensure knowledge is accessible without barriers, can be easily reused under Creative Commons licenses, and drives innovation and social development for Latin America and the Caribbean.
